ETHNOPEDAGOGY: Journal of Culture, Learning, and Sustainability is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Masyarakat Etnopedagogi Berkelanjutan (MEB), Indonesia. The journal advances rigorous research and scholarly dialogue on how culture, local and Indigenous knowledge, community practices, and place-based values shape education, learning, human development, and educational transformation.
The journal provides a multidisciplinary forum for researchers, educators, teacher educators, community knowledge holders, and policy actors working across educational sciences, anthropology, sociology, psychology, curriculum studies, language and arts education, Indigenous studies, sustainability education, and related fields. It welcomes studies from diverse cultural and national contexts, including comparative and cross-cultural scholarship.
ETHNOPEDAGOGY publishes original research articles, review articles, theoretical and conceptual articles, research and practice notes, and scholarly book reviews. Priority is given to manuscripts that make an explicit contribution to educational theory, methodology, policy, or practice; engage culture as a living and contested knowledge system; and demonstrate methodological rigor, ethical responsibility, and relevance beyond a merely descriptive account of local traditions.
Submission of a manuscript confirms that the work is original, has not been published previously, is not under consideration elsewhere, and has been approved by all authors. Manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening are evaluated through double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent experts and may undergo editorial revision before acceptance. Published articles are made immediately available to readers under the journal's open-access license.
